How Supplement Industry Changed During COVID-19 Pandemic

According to Euromonitor, total retail sales of beauty and personal care in Southeast Asian markets are set to decline by -0.6%.

Temporary closures of retail shops and shopping malls have accelerated the rise of e-commerce. Tokopedia, popular Indonesian e-commerce platform reported tripling of sales for health and personal care categories and doubling sellers. This digitalization wave has boosted the sales of health and beauty products through online purchases, for example Lazada and Shopee. Industry players will organize social media live streams or implement virtual product try-ons. As a result, consumers will change their shopping and spending behavior to online shopping and this change can be permanent.
