How does technology affects sleep quality?

Technology is one of the greatest human inventions to make our lives more convenient and comfortable. In this digital age, many things could be reached with a click of a button and a single tap on a screen including entertainment, communication, shopping, and etc.

Besides all the benefits that we receive from technology, it is also affecting our sleep quality. This issue happens when we are attached to our digital devices before going to bed. The factors that are affecting our sleep quality are;

  1. Bright lights of devices – according to The Sleep Health Foundation, the release of Melatonin will be blocked after the exposure to bright lights for 1.5 hours before sleep.
