April 7th, World Health Day, “Our Planet, Our Health”.

Today, April 7th, is known as World Health Day. Celebrated since 1950, the World Health Organization (WHO) decided to coincide this event with its own founding day, bringing awareness about the world’s deadly diseases and promoting healthy habits.

A theme is chosen each year for its celebration, based on the needs and suggestions raised by Member States. The theme for this year is “Our Planet, Our Health”. The aim of this edition is to invite people, communities, governments and organizations around the world to share information about the actions they can take to protect our health and our planet.

Pollution, climate change and other environmental threats have an important impact on public health. A global response is necessary; everyone must take a stand.

This is an ideal opportunity to remember that all living things directly depend on a healthy ecosystem for their development.

Monteloeder, as a producer of natural botanical ingredients, is aware of the importance of a balanced and healthy soil as the main source of nutrients for the products we extract from nature. Soil health is defined as the continued ability of the soil to function as a vital living ecosystem that supports plants, animals and humans.

The soil is a vulnerable, non-renewable natural resource, which needs to be cared for and protected.

At Monteloeder we are aware of the importance of this valuable resource in order to be able to obtain the highest quality extracts.  Consumers look for high quality, low impact, sustainable solutions for their healthy lifestyle, and we work to meet those demands with our natural botanical ingredients.
