Globally, it was reported that the air quality improved due to the lockdown during the pandemic of Covid-19.
Vietnam is the first country in South East Asia (SEA) easing the lockdown. Recorded with 327 positive cases in 96 million population as of 27th May 2020, the Vietnamese government had done a good job to curb the spreading of Covid-19 locally.
With the easing of lockdown, more people are allowed to carry out their daily activities including commuting. Based on the data from AirNow.org, it was shown that the pollutant PM2.5 had increased in the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi to unhealthy levels since the easing to lockdown in end of April 2020.
