The importance of a safe purchase

The search for quality is not only an obligation but a commitment to life, a contribution to making this world a better place to live, and in this sense at Monteloeder we have made this search for quality a daily habit.

To achieve this goal, we try to be as close as possible to the production centers, if not physically, with continuous interactions via email, traveling to visit the plantations when we can, to audit and be close to our suppliers, to try to instill in them our commitment for the search not only for the quality of the product but also for its sustainability over time, this being a differentiating attribute of Monteloeder.

In this process, once two or three suppliers that meet our commercial specifications have been selected, we subject them to a rigorous and systematic technical study, first analytically analyzing three samples from three different batches of the specific product and subsequently carrying out an exhaustive control plan, which includes analysis of pesticides, heavy metals, PAH’s, PA’s, residual solvents, ETO as well as microbiology and analysis of active ingredients.

No new supplier is accepted unless they successfully pass these four stages of the quality selection process. And once the supplier and the product are technically and commercially accepted, the control process continues with systematic analyzes of the quality of its ingredients in each order placed, beginning with the repetition of the exhaustive control plan of the first purchase from each new supplier.

In fact, it is easy to see how suppliers who are not willing to sell products with that level of quality, and above all, systematically over time, gradually withdraw from the equation, giving way to those more committed to sustainability, which also allows them to improve their own internal processes, thus reaching markets that previously they could not reach without this internal improvement. Either improve or die, it is a natural selection.

Beyond any economic argument, we understand that this is the best way to stand out in an increasingly rigorous market and in which we at Monteloeder believe we are on the crest of the wave.
