While we were still immersed in the 25th anniversary of the founding of Monteloeder, a very important milestone took place, that milestone was the entry of Suanfarma into Monteloeder as the majority shareholder. The founding family believes that in a global world where a process of concentration and the entry of large corporations into the nutraceutical industry is taking place, it is advisable to go hand in hand with a powerful partner. Without a doubt, Suanfarma is the right partner for us.
Suanfarma can provide us with its extensive global commercial network, its access to many suppliers, its reputation, its legal, regulatory and systems knowledge, … but above all we value the mentality and flexibility and predisposition to preserve the company as it is.
Now we must continue writing the history of Monteloeder together with Suanfarma. We have the challenge of taking the company to another level. One of the company’s priorities will be to continue betting on the expansion and development of branded ingredients, that is, our own products with clinical studies demonstrating their effectiveness. Monteloeder has a world class R&D team that will support the entire Suanfarma nutraceutical division. The blending capacities in the company’s GMP clean rooms, as well as its own physical-chemical and microbiological analysis equipment, will also be exploited much more within the group. Until now the formulation and mixing activities were focused only on botanical extracts, but it is intended to expand the range to other nutraceuticals.
Currently we are working on identifying synergies between the two companies, specially in the commercial and operations department. Some of the detected synergies are already in place and the idea is to grow the business together at a faster pace that what Monteloeder could have done individually. We have an exciting future in front and it is worthy to participate in this journey.
