According to WHO, UV Index is a measure of UV radiation ranging from zero upward. The greater the UV Index, the greater the radiation that could harm our eyes and skin with a shorter time.
Common effect of exposing to UV ray is sunburn. However, due to prolonged exposure, it may lead to skin melanoma which is a form of severe skin cancer.
Based on article by the American Cancer Society, UV ray may cause the following;
- Premature skin aging such as wrinkles, leathery skin, liver spots, actinic keratosis, and solar elastosis
- Eye problem causing the cornea to be inflamed and burned.
- Weakening of immune system
In Thailand, it was reported to be experiencing high UV index occurrence for the recent years. It was recorded on a daily extreme level of 11 and above. Below is the reading of the UV index in the capital of Bangkok from https://www.weatheronline.co.uk/Thailand/Bangkok/UVindex.htm for August 2021;
In Monteloeder, we are able to offer a solution to manage the negative effect of solar radiation called Nutroxsun. Nutroxsun is a clinically proven natural ingredient combination of Mediterranean rosemary and grapefruit extracts, that protects, from the inside-out, the skin from sun-induced damage. Our clinical studies that show Nutroxsun helps with the following;
- Improve both UVB and UVA sun radiation tolerance
- Help to reduce skin oxidation and inflammation
- Provide antiaging benefits
- Reduce wrinkle depth and improve elasticity, by protecting cutaneous structure components
